Links may lead to malicious websites and attachments may download malicious software to their device.
- If you receive an unexpected message that appears to be from CB&S Bank, please call us at 877-332-1710 or visit your local branch to confirm the message is valid.
- If you receive an unexpected message from any other acquaintance, we recommend you confirm the message is valid via another method you know to be accurate for that sender before clicking on attachments and links.
DO NOT SIMPLY REPLY TO THE MESSAGE, YOU MAY BE REPLYING TO AN IMPOSTER.
- If you receive an unexpected message from a stranger, you should permanently delete the message.
- If you receive an urgent warning message from your email service provider or Microsoft, you should verify with the sender before trusting links and attachments.
- On a computer, you can verify where a link in an email will lead by hovering, but not clicking your mouse, over the link.
- On a mobile phone, you can verify where a link in an email will lead by using your finger to press and hold down on the link. Your phone will display a bubble with the full URL address. Lift your finger and review the URL address.
